Constructed Wetland at Nairobi Dam.
As part of the purification of the highly polluted Nairobi Dam, Resource Projects Kenya, will develop a constructed wetland to purify polluted waters from a section of the Kibera slums that enter into the Motoine River. This polluted river empties into the Nairobi Dam and sustains the growth of the water hyacinth in the dam.
However, this project has had to be stopped because the larger Nairobi dam project by UNEP has stalled.
