An eco-resource centre will be established to encourage an appreciation of the importance of the Mt. Kenya ecosystem and biodiversity. The centre will offer an integrated educational programme. The Centre will house a modern library, fully stocked with electronic and hard-copy material, a lecture room complete with audio-visual equipment, a small cultural museum depicting the history of ethnic groups around Mt. Kenya, and some of their artifacts.
