Marine Habitat Conservation and Ecotourism along the Pacifc Coast
The project intends to undertake biodiversity conservation activities involving coastal resources. It is located along the 22 km. coastal area of Baggao, Cagayan. Targeted for conservation/rehabilitation are two parcels of mangrove forest with a total area of 12,567 hectares, 6 waterfalls, 4 caves of which are habitated by bats and swift birds (nido). Valley Cove inhabitants are migrants whose livelihood is mostly farming/fishing and the IPs who are resource gatherers aside from small farmers and fishers.
