--- forming a national network of rush and reed weavers around the country, work towards sustainability of the industry through training on national and international dimensions and market trends, ensuring biodiversity conservation through reed, rush planting and other trees needed for the craft, ensuring high quality of craft through technology development and continuous awareness raising
The objectives of the programme:
To improve the bio divresity of the region
To create awareness of bio diversity conservation among the public through education and training programmes
Reintroduce traditional organic rice cultivation and associated lifestyles
Teintroduce traditional reed craft motifs and technology to the younger generation
Experiment and initiate new styles and products suitable for the modern society in order to reduce the use of plastic and polythene
Promote gender equality through economic independence for women
Promote eco friendly sustainable and independent livelihoods for the farmers
