Completion report received on 30 May 2003, summarizing following immediate results/outputs:

1. Evinced increased capacity and conservation awareness of target population through observed active participation
2. Local government units being interested in project activities and planning to provide further support
3. The garbage banks requiring more training/experience and cooperation to assure success and continuity
4. Emergence of the followings:
- six conservation zones along the creek
- approximately 20,000 native species
in addition along the creek
- status and data of 20 wetland forest
5. Established cooperation between project leaders and senior government officers at district and provincial level.


Participatory Evaluation: ( Final On 31 March 2003 )

Participants: 70 persons comprising project members, relevant government officers and one
researcher from Khon Kaen University.

Methods: Open forum where carried out activities and their immediate outputs/result were put
forward for discussion for summarization of accomplishment & failure , as well as lessons
learnt

Impact: Since the project directly involves local livelihood of target population , it had received
substantial attention to a great extent. Public sectors in the locality also hinted plans for
continuity but with limit progress on account of scope of official responsibility. In
conclusion, the project was able to shape the idea of community members residing in 38
villages of the project location.

Future Plan:

1. The project would keep on with the activities.
2. Planning activities to add value to fish product
3. Formulating long term planning for development of environment and ecosystems.
