Enhancing capacities and capabilities of local communities for Bio-diversity Conservation
Purpose was to encourage ecological restoration by Promoting economic development of the village community dependent on bio-diversity resources, to link the livelihood options with regeneration of resources and provide research on various ecological processes.

The project focused on integrated biodiversity management programme. The emphasis is given to encourage restoration of ecological balance in the selected villages through sustained community action for the development of the potential natural resources in the area. Easy and affordable technological solutions and institutional arrangements. It also incorporates the economic development of the village community through optimum utilization of the natural resources like land, water, vegetation etc. to mitigate the adverse effects of droughts and prevent further ecological degradation and to link the livelihood systems of the local community to the regeneration of the resources also integrate the research activity on various socio-ecological processes for biodiversity conservation.
