Ø It was significant to note that villagers were very active for raising saplings in their own village nurseries and there seems to be a great potential in enabling more and more communities to take on similar tasks.
Ø Through getting technical help from the organization communities became able to collect surface run-off of rainwater. This water would be helpful to water young saplings planted out on degraded common lands otherwise, it is an almost impossible task to water up the hill sides to water young saplings during the dry spell.
Ø The biogas units installed by the organization have led to reduction in drudgery for women and children involved with the collection of firewood from distant forest areas and at the same time led to reduction in the biotic pressure on scares forest resources.
Ø Through the period of two years, BCG's have been enabled to organize local systems regarding the protection and conservation of biodiversity in the catchment areas of villages.
