Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
Barangay Marufinas, one of the barangays where the BA was conduct, is composed of 95% Tagbanuas, an indigenous peoples group. They were also participants in the surveys, workshop, focused group discussions, interviews of key infomants for that barangay/village. In the other places, Barangay Tagabenit and cabayugan, another tribal group of Bataks, though small, were also part of the participating community in that area.
Gender Focus
During the conduct of the BA, the participants include both men and women from the community.
