Improved Livelihoods of Poor in Protected Areas for Biodiversity Conservation.
Project's aim was to conserve bio-diversity in the protected areas(PAs) through active local participation through provision of selected NTFP right in PAs as incentives for participation thereby improving the poor surrounding PAs as well as presenting a case study to improve participatory management in PAs and appropriate policy changes in PA management.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The project increased opportunities for forest dwellers to participate in conservation activities. It may bring in a need for providing alternatives in addressing participatory approaches in bio-diversity promotion.

Notable Community Participation
The project involved poor forest dwellers in and around PAs. This was enabled through formation/strengthening of Eco-development committees, through women SHGs. Every committee had responsible members to the cluster management group. Each committee will develop resource mapping, local action plans by using PRA techniques and surveys.
