Project activities were linked with sustainable livelihood to a GEF focal area. For cultivating different types of crops, alternativeS had been developed for synthetic agricultural inputs. These alternatives were field tested and were found to enhance growth of the plant and control of plant diseases, whether it was bacterial, fungal or viral.

Project was run by local people. No cultural or historic factors had affected the project design/ implementation schedule. Project activities had made impact on farmers that without synthetic agricultural inputs, vegetable crops could be cultivated without affecting the quantity of crops.

Through awareness programmes, target groups and other people of adjoining areas were explained how the water is being polluted by synthetic agricultural inputs causing environmental problem locally and globally.
