Development of a Central Organizational Unit to Supervise Glass Boat Operations in Aqaba Gulf
The planning grant was used to conduct a field study to collect information and initiate contacts required for establishing a central organizational unit to supervise glass boat operations in the Gulf of Aqaba. The study identified environmental, orgnizational, legal, economic and social conditions and obstacles facing the development of this sector. In line with the results of the study, the NGO has developed a full project that would work for the actual establishment and management of the desired unit. It is hoped that through orgnaizing glass boat operations in the Gulf, pollution and destruction of marine life caused by glass boat opertion will be minimized.
