Protecting the environment and having the opportunity for environmental education has been very limited in Yo Creek Village. This is indicated by improper management of reserves, poor hygiene in the village and lack of awareness in conservation of the natural resources. Thus, it is critical that community members begin to realize the importance of protecting the environment and improving the ecological surroundings through an environmental education program.
This project will encourage youths to become more involved in community activities by:
1. Protecting and landscaping of reserve/recreational areas.
2. Creek rehabilitation and protection
3. Provision of a waste disposal system
4. Environmental education programme
