Community-based Rangeland Rehabilitation Program
The Jordan Badia Research and Development Program will implement this project in Tall Ar Rimah in the Jordanian northern Badia. It will involve the local Bedouin community in rangeland rehabilitation efforts in an area of 50,000 dunums of natural rangleand where practical packages developed and tested by the Badia Program will be applied on a large scale by the local community. Within this area, the Department of Land and Survey (govt.) has allocated the use of 120 dunum to the local community for fodder production. The project will be implemented along with two other projects dealing with forage production as a rangeland alternative and a milk dairy production factory as an integrated management practice. It is hoped that the project will not only improve the rangeland situation, but it will also contribute to improving the living conditions of the Bedouin community.

Notable Community Participation
The local ocmmunity of Tall Ar Rimah were involved in the planning phase of the project, several site visits were conducted by the SGP and the Badia Program and extensive disussions with the community took place. Through working in the forage and the dairy production initiatives, the community will be directly involved in the implementation of the project.
