Capacity Enhancement for Promotion of organic farming in Gujarat.
The project intends to build the capacity of the farmers in the field of organic farming and bio manuring. It comprises the preparation of training module for producers; demonstration on some selected farm, pilot testing of training module at field level with respective target groups, and to publish a set of booklets on crop technologiy.
The project has successfully completed. As a result of the project the benefits not only received by the community by organic farming and composting but organisation has also opended a marketing channel for bio-compost at a very minimum rate so as to promote thebio-compost and also improve the crop and soil quality.

Replication of project activities
Promotion of organic farming through different ways and means with the help of voluntary organizations had been a frequent activity of this organization. It also planned to establish self-managed producer-consumer networks in different districts of Gujarat. The modules prepared under this project would be a great asset and would be utilized during the coming years in Gujarat. Through the production of proposed training modules, organic movement could be effectively spread to other states.
Capacity - Building Component
The organization aimed to effectively evolve a producer-consumer network of organic supporters as a global solution to the environment problems. For this, few training modules were developed which helped the farmers to grow crop organically and help consumers to make wise and eco-friendly purchase The organization aimed to effectively evolve a producer-consumer network of organic supporters as a global solution to the environment problems. 3 live demonstration farms are working as a full fledged training centre for organic farming. Evert month 50-100 visitors come to see the various organic farms where all weather proof panels are displayed to educate the visitors.more tahn30 sets of consumers exhibition were distributed to various customers across Gujrat.the following programs were held with famremers to comment upon the draft prepared:

The resource centre for medicinal plant cultivation was established. It demonstrated, through regular on and off campus programmes, how to grow medicinal plants in an organic, chemical free and commercially viable way. The target groups of this were farmers from Piparia, Bankhedi and Sohagpur blocks of Hoshangabad district. A network of small farmer groups (SFG), located in Piparia, Bankhedi and Sohagpur tehsils of Hoshangabad district and adjoining Satpura region of Chhindwara district present. Food festivals ware also organized which created ?green? consumers and local NGOs capitalized on the opportunity to widen their base.
