Lake Mainit Upland Resource Management and Biodiversity Conservation Project
The project aims to conserve the biodiversity in the lakes influence area and restore the different life support systems, and contribute and enhance increased agricultural and fishery production on a sustainable equitable basis. The project shall have a landscape approach, addressing the upland, lowland and freshwater ecosystem of six (6) barangays in Kitcharao.
Activities include capacity building, forest and lake ecosystems conservation, protection and management, policy advocacy and livelihood (animal raising, fish culture, sustainable agriculture).

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
COMMUNITY LIVELIHOOD REVOLVING FUND
The project will allocate during its first year an amount of Php 360,000.00 for livelihood activities among families who religiously participate in the Environmental Preservation and Conservation thru active participation in planting of endemic trees in the barangay communal forest.
OFF-FARMS LIVELIHOOD FOR SUSTAINABLE FARMING SYSTEM
This component envisioned to augment the farm family income of partner beneficiaries through provision of improved breed of goats and chicken and the provision of "tilapia floating fish cage" for livelihood among fisherfolkf in the Lake.
