According to the project?s final progress report, all objectives were achieved with success. The project has become a reference for protagonism in sustainable and ecological sheep and goat raising, generating income for the community and reducing the use of fire and pastures degradation through the adoption of new methods for planting and pasture management. Of the planned objectives, only a partnership with the Municipal Education Secretariat was not achieved. Positive results such as farmer conscience-building for conservation of the pastures, native woods, rivers, streams and sources of water, were reached, however. The project was turned in to a demonstrative project by a government organization. The Rural Development Secretariat adopted the sheep and goat raising model for replication in other municipalities, contributing toward generation of rural income and consequent reduction of poverty. This was the first sheep and goat raising experience for SGP Brazil, building environmental conscience in the traditional small farmers and the adoption of new techniques with reduced impact and higher sustainability.
