Investigation on the status of the Mediterranean endemic sea grass Posedonia oceanica in the Albanian coast
The project aims at documenting the state of underwater beds of P. oceanica along the Albanian seacoast and raising awareness of coastal villagers, environmental institutions and local and central authorities on the importance of this species to the marine environment.
Product of this project will be a disseminative documentary film emphasizing on the importance of P. oceanica habitats. Several public awareness activities will take place, such as discussions with local communities and fishermen in different areas, production and distribution of leaflets, posters and a seminar in the capital city of Tirana

Notable Community Participation
Organize a meeting with directors of the Ministry of Environment, environmental specialists and local authorities in order to compile emergency decisions concerning the protection of Possedonia, based on existing environmental laws, and pass these decisions for approval to the Prime Ministry
