Ferryboat Services and Hardware Trading Business Project
The Project aims at contributing to the upliftment of the economic status of the residents of the community, especially the members of the cooperative through the following: 1. the provision of the best quality of transportation services to foreign and domestic tourists going to Port Barton, San Vicente, and El Nido, Palawan from Sitio Sabang, Barangay Cabayugan, Puerto Princesa City and vice versa; 2. putting up of a trading business on spare parts for motorboats and other vehicles; and 3. helping in the conservation, preservation and protection of the environment within the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (PPSRNP). Total grant amount is 35,417 UNF + $3,394 GEF.

Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
During each pump boat trip where visitors are being ferried to and from the tourist destination and attractions, a tour guide and/or operator/assistant will be speaking and/or giving a short presentation on the significant features of the PPSRNP and the various tourist attractions in the area. Some flyers, brochures and other materials will also be distributed for further promotion and awareness building.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
Only a handful of Tagbanuas are members of the cooperative.
