Wildlife and Habitat Protection for Low Impact Eco-Tourism in PPSRNP and Consumers Coop Store
This project will be engaged in an income generating project by putting up an additional capital for expansion of the consumers cooperative store and constructing a bigger building in a wider space so as to provide sufficient area for an expanded operation; conduct trainings necessary to improve or uplift the moral and living condition of the members; rehabilitate, restore and establish the feeding grounds of various wildlife on some specific areas of the Park in support to the Park's program of conservation; improve, create or develop a trail system that will lead to some interesting features within the Park; formulation of interpretative talks that will be necessary in a tour guiding activity on these interesting areas; enlist forest rangers from the community to conduct patrol, guide trekkers and do interpretative talks; conduct or facilitate training on paralegal, forest protection and other related trainings involving the forest rangers, park rangers, and the community; generate income through guided tours on trekking activities so as to sustain the project when aid is terminated; and establish a communication system to effect better coordination in patrolling and rescue operation (for trekkers) and liaison operation in Puerto Princesa City.

The coop shall promote sustainability by using only the profits derived from the additional capital that is infused to the coop store. The conservation project was also designed to be self-sufficient and continuing even beyond the duration of the SGP/UNF COMPACT assistance. Total grant amount is $12,894 UNF and $14,858 GEF.

Gender Focus
Majority of the members of the cooperative are women whose major roles are in the management of the coop store. The men will take care of the forest and marine protection activities.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Public awareness on the project in general will be done through periodic meetings with barangay officials and residents of the sitios (village). Awareness on conservation practices and other activities that will contribute to conservation of wildlife in the PA will be part of the project's capability building activities.
