Promoting the Clean Development Mechanism in Ghana
In talking to NGOs/CBOs and the Private Sector, it appeared people were not fully informed about the Kyoto Protocol of the UNFCCC as well as the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
The NGO is giving a series of talks to the Private Sector, Policy Makers and Parliamentarians on the UNFCCC, Joint Implementation (JI) projects, CDM and its implementation modalities. The objective is to improve the understanding of these stakeholders on the mechanism so they can avail themselves to the opportunities so as to reduce Ghana?s emission of greenhouse gases.
