Public and ecological NGOs awareness on local environment problems and their connection with global problems decreased it is a result of common degradation of Mass Media in Kyrgyzstan. The price on newspapers and printings become prohibitive for majority of rural population because of economic reasons. It allows becoming TV the main source of information. TV broadcasts very seldom devoted to environment problems. The project partly solves this problem through preparing quarterly TV broadcasts on Kyrgyz and Russian languages. Their themes will be devoted to GEF activity on the global level and to GEF/SGP activity in Kyrgyzstan. There will be some themes devoted to other environment problems in Kyrgyzstan. Journalists and NGOs will be subscribers which writes for environment periodicals. The main purpose of the electronic magazine is to initiate environment information in the Mass Media.
During the project realization the follow results are expected to be achieved:

Public awareness about global environment programs and GEF/SGP activity will rise. It is expected that increased number of project proposals and their quality will be indicator of raised awareness.
Actions to be undertaken by Public Foundation ?Central Asia Informational Center?:
1. Announcement, production and demonstration of 12 (6 original telecast in Russian and 6 duplicates in Kyrgyz languages) 20 minutes each telecasts ?Biorithm?
2. Demonstration period to be not less than once in two months. First telecast should be issued not later than two months after receipt of first payment under this Agreement
3. Telecast main headings: ?In the focus? (environmental news), duration is 3 minutes; ?An alternative?(problems solution in real examples), duration is 10 minutes; ?Ecologist by yourself? (interesting individuals, scientists, examples of environmentally friendly behavior, housekeeping) duration is 3 minutes; ?Known truths? (environmental law, legislation, conventions, terms of reference, duration is 3 minutes. 1 minute for images and titles.
4. Design of electronic magazine in English and in Russian languages (design, creation, registration, Web-site support). Inserting information and renewals if necessary.
5. Magazine headings: environmental law, articles, interviews, essays, info, environmental library, list of local and foreign donors, list of local and foreign eco-journalists, list of environmental NGO?s, list of government and education organizations.
6. Creation of eco-journalists network
7. Establishment of link among eco-journalists, local and foreign NGO representatives, donors.
8. Creation of mailing and subscription system, on-line electronic conferences.
TV reporters of different television channels of Kyrgyzstan, members of PF ?Central Asia Informational Center?, NGOs and CBOs realizing GEF/SGP projects will be involved to project implementing.
