Raising public awareness on the negative impact of the quarries on the environment and biodiversity.
The project will contribute to the conservation of the threatened fauna and flora in the Bani Nu?aim, Al Shough and Sa?ar villages in the Northern East of Hebron through raising the awareness of 30 trainees of quarry owners, farmers, and municipality engineers. The project will provide an overview on the environmental challenges and resources and will particularly zoom the light an overview on the environmental challenges and resources and will particularly zoom the light on the native impact of the quarries in the mentioned areas i.e. dust, overuse of land resources, biodiversity and threatened species and ragelands in order to contribute to the exploration of alternative solutions to obtain sustainable management of the natural resources. Complementary to class-based sessions, the beneficiaries will join a series of field visits for the quarries and the surroundings of the three mentioned locations to closely assess the negative impact of the quarries.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Producing different types of public awareness material such as 500 copies of the pamphlet, 500 copy of poser (60 x 80 cm), distributing 200 T. shirts and hats printed with the slogan of the project, designing 6 newspapers adverts for three months in the three main daily newspapers: Al Quds, Al Ayyam and Al Hayyah Al Jaddeda in a size of (20 x 10 cms).
Notable Community Participation
The project community are farmers living near quarries, quarry owners, municipality engineers are participating in several ways in project preparation, implantation and evaluation, workshops and training sessions.
