Cockrane Eco Village Transformation Project
A six phase project aimed at the transformation of the village of Cockrane into an Eco Village in order to increase awareness of the Morne Trois Pitons National Park World Heritage Site biodiversity conservation and sustainable livelihoods, while enabling the villagers to enjoy an improved standard of living by encouraging visitors to the community.

Policy Impact
As a result of the project success CVIC was invited to do a presentation on "Community Tourism Best Practices" at Community Tourism Workshop organized by the Programme Management Unit of the Eco Tourism Development Programme of the Ministry of Tourism CVIC also invited by OECS ESDU to do a presentation in St. Lucia on the Cockran's experience
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
CVIC has organized two Rabbit Festivals which brings much income to the community of Cockrane. Activities include rabbit racing, raffles, live rabbit exhibitions, sale of meals with rabbit meat prepared in different ways, sale of farm produce, bat tours, etc
