Reduction of manmade press on walnut ecosystems located close to the villages in Kugart valley by reconstruction of cattle driving path, introduction of pasture turnover and rehabilitation of forest vegetation by planting walnut trees.
Despite of total reduction of cattle stock in the Kugart valley the grassland near by settlements are exploited extremely strongly and irrationally. Because of these grasslands exploits all vegetative period and the reproduction and semination of plants not happens. It allows productivity decreasing and as a result new areas acclimate for pastures including forest territories.
The cause of all the year round using of grasslands is expensiveness of movement to remote pastures and drove conditions which are not maintained by any organization in the present time.
The main purpose of the project is reduction of manmade press on relict walnut forest ecosystem through rising productivity of existent pastures of nearest slopes and reconstruction of drove which allow passing to outrun cattle-breeding in Yris and Barpin Ayil Okmots.
In the course of project implementation it is intended obtaining of the following results:
Ecological
- protection of unique walnut forest ecosystem containing wide range of endemic and Red Book species
Economic
-collection and processing of fruits, sale of saplings as supplement to traditional cattle-breeding, plant cultivation. Â írnnî?ull âdle? nndóenódr äîoîäîâ írnlëlíc? nëläótur?:
cattle breeding ? 45%
plant cultivation- 42%
haymaking, wood and fruit harvesting ? 4%
government salaries and allowances- 9%
Social and cultural
It is possible that the tradition of pasture turnover become popular, because pasture turnover allow increasing capacity up to 20-25%.
Actions to be undertaken by Association of Entrepreneurs ?Kok Jangak?
