- Rising public awareness on environment problems
- The threat of maral disappearance liquidated and conditions for increasing of its livestock was created
- Decreasing of poaching incidents

Products/services generated by the project
- Maral nursery will extend up to 500 hectares to 2010years
- Development of eco-tourism in buffer zone. Visiting of 50 eco-tourists at the 200 US dollars for services will make 10000 US dollars - in view of tax deductions from the profit
- The members of local community of 5 settlements near with buffer zone were mobilized to participate in the project;
- Family association ?Ijry-Suu? was created from 8 families;
- Inhabitants are informed on environmental problems;
- The nursery is expanded by construction a protection fence (2000m)
- The forage storehouse were made at stationary feeding troughs
- 20 nursery feeding troughs were made
- The women were trained to elements of business planning, to components of eco-tourism, to application of alternative energy sources and, to elements of veterinary service
- It was increased and expanded postural land, the people pressure was reduced
- 5 articles were published in newspapers in Internet (AKEpress-site, ?Vecherniy Bishkek?, ?Zaman Kyrgyzstan?, ?Tenir-too?, ?Moscow Komsomolets?)
Assessment of impact of project in the GEF focal area
Project corresponds to Operational Program 4 GEF/SGP ?Mountain Ecosystems? and provides biodiversity preservation through Tian-Shan marals rehabilitation in expended nursery with local community participating
Policy influence
50 hectares was allocated to PF ?Eco-Zdoroviye? in buffer zone ?Chalkak? for 20 years.
The narrative report of the project
Despite of difficult conditions of work (high mountains, inaccessibility, impassability, a cross-country terrain, adverse weather etc.), people (in average 22 persons) have achieved the planned purposes.
Members of family association ?Ijry-Suu? have actively joined in monitoring on places, constantly informed PA ?Eco-zdoroviye? about difficulties and problems on which they have tried to react and solve them in time.
Questionnaire results of 4 village?s inhabitants consider that project works are timely because local residents receive work and stable incomes and master new activity for them- tourism. People connect their well-being and stability with this project, it is extremely important result.
