Potential global benefits of the project
Thanks to the project the local mini-manufactures were developed in three villages of medicinal raw stock, which will allow increasing depth of processing of harvested wild plants and will form the basis for the sustainable harvesting and protection of medicinal grasses by the local population.

Project was directed on demonstration that realization of medicinal raw material will receive the additional income to population.
Community driveness of the project
The population is involved directly not only in the harvesting, but also processing of medicinal plants, evaluation of their stocks and markets. The distribution of harvesting plots among families allows increasing conservation of l resources of local medicinal grasses
Capacity ?building component
The inhabitants of villages - participants of the project get new steady skills of use of local natural resources. The level of awareness of the population rises about interrelation of economic activity and an environment conditions. The population gets new professional skills and becomes the owner of the industrial equipment. Executive NGO gets experience of work with the population in sphere of the projects connected to sustainable use of natural resources.
Gender focus
The new workplaces (collectors, seamstress, and packers) are engaged preferably by women.
Co-financing received
Co-financing from Public Association ?Fitofarm? in cash is 348$, in kind 5250$.
The main kinds of co-finance were labor on: organizing of field research with schoolchildren participating for inventory of herbs habitats and their collecting after special trainings.
Replication in other communities or regions
This project is appropriate for replicating in analogous geographic conditions countries (mountains area). There are no plans on up-scaling the project to a medium-sized GEF.
Links between this project and the overall GEF
Links between this project and the overall GEF follows from public awareness on global environment problems, their direct involvement to the reduction of manmade press to natural ecosystems that in turn, will cause conservation of habitats of rare and disappearing species of plants.
Influence on government policy
There is no obvious influence on government policy on National level.
