Management for the rescue and conservation of forest species and native agricultural crops in Comitancillo San Marcos
This women?s CBO will work with agro-forestry systems to conserve endemic endangered species of forest trees (Abies guatemalensis, Pinus rudis) and one potato local landrace that is disappearing due to the introduction of new commercial varieties. The potato landrace is notably resistant to several plant diseases, has a better nutrient content than commercial varieties and is good for long term storage. Over two years.
