Decrease distrust rate to solar heating installations through propagation and distributing experience of such installations exploitation in the inexpensive habitation in the in squatter areas of Bishkek city.
In spite of solar heating installation?s acceptable price and relative effectiveness they did not become wide spread in Kyrgyzstan. One of the reasons is distrust of majority of population especially of rural people in efficiency of these installations. They do not believe in print and video products; it is very important for them direct contact with people who use solar installations and opportunity to examine it by own.
The squatter areas ?Archabeshik? appeared in the beginning of 1990?s as a result of territory capture by population who wanted to build houses in country capital. Even the capture was illegal authorities had to yield and now that people have legal rights on the plots. It is reasonable that development of these territories were unorganized; most of houses were built from straw and loam but not from bricks. There are no central heating and hot water in the houses.
The main idea of the project is demonstration of solar heating installation effectiveness for inexpensive habitations.
In the course of project implementation it is intended obtaining of the following results:
Ecological
? Increasing access to geliotechnologies of population with low level of income and literacy
? Decreasing fossils consumption for water heating
Economic
Decreasing expense on fuel and electricity consumption (the problem is that majority of ?Archbeshik? inhabitants either do not pay for electro power or steal ones using different adjustments which are danger for life). Coal, firewood purchasing for houses heating can afford a few of inhabitants.
Social and cultural
It is possible part of families decided that solar installation acquiring is profitable than enter into conflict with local authorities on unpaid electro power consumption.
Main actions to be undertaken by Public Association «Eco-Time»
1. Purchase and installment of 4 solar devices in 4 households in ?Archabeshik? district.
2. Preparation of exploitation tool guide based on gathered experience
3. Preparation of leaflet describing of cost effectiveness of solar installatins
4. Conduction of advocacy and information campaign among inhabitants of ?Archabeshik? district.
