Promoting environmentally sustainable transport modality through training and raising public awareness
The project will focus on capacity building and information dissemination on promoting environmentally sustainable transport modalities and forms, targeting specialists at the Ministry of Transport and police and municipalities in Ramallah.
The project will also contribute to raising public awareness particularly in the central and crowded areas of Ramallah city aiming at removing knowledge and information barriers to adopt appropriate and environment friendly transport modalities which ultimately will reduce GHG emissions from ground transport sources.

Capacity - Building Component
Conducting two training workshops of six days each x 7 hours a day for 40 participates from the Ministry of Transport, municipalities and police.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Organizing two public awareness workshops for 40 specialists from several ministries and the NGOs to discuss the impact of the transport on the environment and public health and also impact of regular motor maintenance on generating less polluting forms of transport, Installing two big sings (2m x 3m) exhibited for a year duration on the main street of Ramallah advocating for sustainable transport modalities and forms in cooperation with the Municipality of Al Bireh. (Messages of public awareness will be the result of collective thinking and brain storming over the workshops and meetings) and distributing sun shade.
