energy audit prepared with 6 months delay for Wilkanow village;idea was to construct boiler of 1MW for straw, which is locally burned at fields by farmers; Boiler could provide heat for he parish building, school (50% destroyed during catastrophic flood in 1997), and local cultural center.Local leader priest Prochyra was lookng for funds, energy audit (and earlier feasibility study prepared by company JAwrol free on charge, on a wave of charity assistance to this region)in 1997-1999).Documents are ready, but whle financial engineering organised by GEF/SGP had to be stopped because of local conflict different prioritis in local government and what was the most important - the lack of a formally very necessary document - spatial plan for Gmina.the lack of such a plan stops any investment.
In years 2003-2005 no progress observed.A very good project for GEF/SGP and the Ecofund(ready to sponsor) bacause of ecological benefits as well as social ones (income for poor farmers for sale of straw) is frozen.
