Coral Reefs Protection in the South of Red-Sea
Purpose of the project:
1- The protection of the coral reefs environment in the south of the Red Sea in Qusair.
2-to determine the suitable places in order to fix the mooring buoys near to the places of the coral reefs .
3- to enlighten the fishermen of the necessity of connecting the coral reefs.
4- to inform the wokers in the tourist villages and the tourists of the regulations of protecting the coral reefs which prohibit cutting them or trading in them.
5 - promote awareness of how to prevent getting rid of human waste and the waste of the tourist's ships in the Red Sea.

The implementation:

First
The installment and the maintenance of 24 marine mooring buoys beside the places where the coral reefs exist al least or 50 meters far and not on the coral reefs in order to tie the tourist ships into the mooring buoy instead of using the anchors .
Mooring buoy: it is a naval float fixed in the depth and it has a cycle which is got ny the captain of the ship into it.

Second
The prints of enlightenment posters and hats have been prepared with the name and the slogan of the project on it. Further more they have been distributed on the diving centers , the tourist ships , all the tourists villages , the tourists and the people in el Quseir. Moreover this is for the enlightenment of the importance of the protection of the coral reefs and the biodiversity as a source of the national income in Egypt .
A brochure that contains the project activities and its aims and achievement was printed.
Cards that aim to draw attention to the importance of preserving coral reefs were printed to be distributed among tourists.

Third
A workshop with the title the protection of the coral reefs is a national necessity :
A workshop has been set in El Quseir city
Fourth: A workshop for evaluating the environmental, economic and social effects of the the protection of the coral reefs project

Project?s objectives are: To 1. To protect the ecosystem and Coral Reefs in the South of the Red Sea. 2. To raise the environmental awareness of the fishers regarding the importance of conserving he biodiversity in the Red-Sea. To raise the awareness of the tourists concerning the importance of conserving the coral reef. 3. To encourage the owners of resorts and ships to stop discharging the wastewater into the sea. At the same time, to help in enforcing the law. 4. To identify the maximum number of the visitors and divers to be accommodated according to the capacity of each sector
