The area of 110 are with manure was cleaned. After 43 inhabitants had been connected to the centralized sewerage system, the sources for water pollution by household wastewater were eliminated. The quality of surface and ground waters improved: at the nearby channel the total amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and organic matter reduced 5?6 times, while at the controlled well the amount of nitrates shrunk from 91 to 32mg NO-3N/l. After the municipality installed the water-supply and sewerage systems livelihood and domestic conditions improved for 43 inhabitants.
Innovation: Rather a new practice of dung management was started to implement and apply in Lithuania ? modern manure storage grounds, slurry reservoirs and the manure yard were equipped. The single system of dung management was equipped for all inhabitants, and this no doubt cut the costs of the system introduction. It is likely, that this part of the project will be evaluated adequately and adapted in other villages of Lithuania.
