The project is about increasing rice yield and income of rice farmers by improving their traditional rice technology through adoption of improve and recommended rice-farming technology. Planting suitable certified seeds, selection and planting of adaptable high yielding variety (HYV) and pest resistant rice variety and integrating tilapia/fish culture, Azolla, duck and range chicken in lowland farms. It will also adopt the supervised credit of in-kind and small cash amounts to support farmers' activities. Introduction of flash-dryer during rainy season will increase farmers' income. Azolla to be grown in paddies will augment fertility and reduce weed infestation thus reduce dependence on herbicides.
