Capacity-building activities will be offered to the community and technicians, such as good manufacturing practices (two 20-hour classes), processing (three 20-hour classes), and producer instruction on raw material production for improvement in the processing unit (one 8-hour class).
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Strengthening of the Cerrado fruit and agroecological product use activities will favor economic development and conservation of the biome in which the Agrarian Reform settlement is inserted. This will occur through the value added to the production and the agroecological conscience inherent to the activities. Social welfare and cultural growth will be promoted by the capacity-building activities and collaboration in the implementation of the action. Higher income and employment are direct results of the conservation activities, making the local smallholders more receptive to the environmental issues.
