Ecosystem Management through community participation
The poject aims to conserve resident wildlife and will offer en route protection to the migratory species of birds and waterfowl by establishing private protected areas. The project area is situated on the Indus Flyway #4 of migratory birds. The project will involve loal communities for protection aginst poaching and hunting and will be supported by the wildlife department in declaring the area as a protected area and they will be engaged to build the capacities of the local residents as well as in carrying out wildlife surveys.

Arousing awareness level of the community by shifting responsibility to them as a means to empowering the community as well as emphasizing the importance of wildlife by referring to specific examples will work in current situation.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Awareness raising on, eco system approach through workshops, distribution of handbills, etc. and mass media particularly radio will be used.
