Rehabilitation and preservation of Semenov fir
Conservation and rehabilitation of Semenov`s fir (Abies Semenovii B.Fedtch) ? endemic species of Kyrgyzstan flora are the main tasks of the project. Unfortunately, but Semenov`s fir is gradually disappearing because of absence the natural renewal, susceptibility to diseases, and poaching.
The basic components of the project are:
- Creation of Semenov`s fir nursery (1hectare), with the subsequent planting seedlings in the plantation (17,8 hectares).
- Creation of transitive branch of the plantation (1,2 hectares)
- Training local residents of Kara-Koyun settlement to look after saplings of Semenov`s firs and fruit trees and bushes.
-The informational campaign directed to prevent cutting of Semenov`s fir and to demonstrate economic and ecological advantages of cultivation and sale of Semenov`s fir saplings
- It is expected to plant 100 saplings of the firs, 3000 currants, 6600 saplings drupaceous species and fruit bushes

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Increasing of awareness level will go through propagation not only economic efficiency of coniferous saplings cultivation, but also propagation of main aim of the project - reproduction of endemic species, that will be the direct contribution to global biodiversity conservation.
Capacity - Building Component
The local population is engaged in cattle breeding and growing vegetables (potatoes). The project will help them to get new skills and profession in cultivation of coniferous plants and fruit trees. Implementing NGO becomes tenant of the land for a long-term and gets experience in realization of income generating projects.
