Karsa Yungma Water Catchment Management and Water Supply Project implemented by Pang Village Committee (PVC) in Mongar Dzongkhag to regenerate Karsa Yungma Water Cacthment inorder to sustain and revive the volume of drinking water for Pang Communities and main Nagor village community.
This project aims to regenerate Karsa Yungma water catchment. This would sustain and revive volume of drinking water for Pang Communities and the main Nagor village communities. The regeneration of Karsa Yungma Water Catchment area will bring about great change in the lives of people of 34 households of Pang village.

As per the 1st and 2nd Progress Report of the project, most of the project activities has been carried out as the following:
1. Rural Water Supply survey;
2. Community planning and management course;
3. Water caretaker training for maintenance and sustainability;
4. Establishment of Nursery;
5. Materials for catchment conservation;
6. Materials for water supply scheme;
7. Maintenance of Fund;
8. Study Tour;
9. Transportation of materials/tools.

The project activities have been carried out successfully thus far. The community has safe drinking water supply in Pang village.

Most of the activities of the project are completed. The Pang community received a 5day training on community planning and monitoring workshop mainly emphasizing on the maintenance of water supply system, caretaker compensation and maintenance of fund generated within the community for the sustainability of the project sets.

Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
Local communities have participated in the project implementation. The community had to contribute two labours from each household for the construction of water supply and for the suspension bridge which is still incomplete.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The main objective of this project is to raise public awareness regarding the Global Environment through local activities, holding environmental awareness workshops, and trainings.
