Advertisement spot for raising public awareness on the uncontrolled discharge of lubricant oils as a source of persistent organic pollutants (POPs)?.
The project consists in preparation and airing of a TV spot that informs the public for the dangers associated with the uncontrolled discharge in the environment of used lubricant oils from the cars. According to ?Regional Strategy for Hazardous Waste-Country Review? in 2000 and 2001 the total quantity imported oils reached respectively 5.033.633 kg and 8.005.854 kg. None of it was recycled or recovered. It is expected that the imports of lubricating oil will increase in conjunction with the automobile fleet.
The TV spots will be transmitted by the main national televisions offering a wide national coverage.
