Protection of biodiversity values in Cemi valley and community involvement in biodiversity conservation
The project aims to protect the high biodiversity values and large number of endemic and endangered species of flora and fauna, in the Cemi valley in the North of Albania close to border with Monte Negro. For this purpose, a public awareness campaign will be organized in order to increase the awareness of the local community for the high number of species present in that area and their scientific and practice values. Contacts will be established with academic institution cross the border in Monte Negro and standardized information will be exchanged in an effort to accelerate the establishment of wider cross-border national park.
