Women involvement in promoting energy efficiency practices in AL Sheikh Radwan district in GazA
Capacity building and public awareness project through refreshing the skills and knowledge of 30 female graduates on practical methods to conserve domestic energy consumption. As a step forward, community awareness trainees will launch a campaign in one of the most densely populated localities- Al-Sheikh Radwan district. For evaluating the impact of the project, the grantee will administer per and post intervention assessment to determine the impact of the project on changing the energy consumption and practices. The project will contribute to the promotion of energy conservation and efficiency methods through disseminating accessible, sustainable and climate- friendly measures throughout Al-Sheikh Radwan locality in Gaza and distributing 600 compact florescent lamps among visited families in order to promote its uses as energy saving alternative.

Capacity - Building Component
Capacity building through conducting training programme for 30 female fresh graduates with an educational background in science and engineering. The 36 training hours will focus on up grading the graduates? skills in general practices of domestic electric grids, methods of energy savings and ways to communicate these methods to women households.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Launching community awareness campaign among 500 randomly selected families in Al Sheikh Radwan district in Gaza including house to house visits, distributing guiding materials i.e. stichers, wall watches, or handbags in addition to any other creative and promotional material, designing, producing and distributing all the public awareness material of the project and conduciting one introductory workshop and 10 small workshops to present the main objectives of the project, and enhance the community involvement.
