Iran, A World Within One Boundary

The project will present the different ecosystems and their species of three provinces in all seasons in 11 bilingual documentaries (English and Farsi) for a semi-technical target group. Also the project aims to promote the inclusion of practical field training in the curriculum of universities. Alongside the production of the documentaries the project proponents will:
o use native knowledge and conduct studies to prepare the film scenarios
o encourage and educate university students (post graduate, under graduate and.) who are interested in practical training
o provide practical subjects for postgraduate theses of university students
o advocate inclusion of field training and these documentaries in university classes and study material
o prepare pictorial educational programs for different groups of people with gender and age diversity.
o gather the local knowledge and sayings of the local people and make them sensitive by increasing public awareness about the environment
o promote dialogue with the government officials of each region
o post the progress of the project and the news of the area on a website (www.Persianheritage.us)
Finally the project will deliver a series of 11 documentaries, photo albums for each region, a booklet on the material gathered from the community knowledge of their environment and the script of the films in Farsi and English. The best practices will be shared through four workshops in Tehran, Mazandaran, Golestan and Semnan Provinces.
