?GEF/SGP Indonesia?s Capacity building for Partners during the Community Forum for Sustainable Livelihood and Commemoration of World Environment Day 2003?
Project development Goal :
To improve market access and strengthen GEF-SGP Indonesia partners? capacity in sustainable community-based natural resources management.
Project Objectives:
1. To develop partners? skills and capacity in planning marketing strategy, business development plan, and outreach strategy for their products.
2. To increase market access for partners
3. To strengthen network among GEF-SGP Indonesia supported CBOs/NGOs and larger network of community-based natural resources management
4. To improve program coordination and program implementation services from National coordinator to partners
5. To discuss and document shared learning among partners
6. To communicate lessons learned/results
Expected Output:
1. Notes and record on meeting and workshop process
2. Draft documentation of lessons learned based on partners? perspective and recommendation
3. Written report on proceeding and recommendation for actions (5 pages report)
4. Electronic report of the workshop, camping and exhibition (handycam, DVD mode)
5. Increased network of products and services produced by GEF-SGP partners with other networks.
6. Open opportunities to access market and donor agencies
7. Publication in national printed and electronic media through Press Conference
Activities to be conducted:
1. Earth Entrepreneurs and Exhibition (for selected partners that already produce products complying with sustainable natural resources management)
2. Dialogue between GEF-SGP Partners and National Coordinator?s Team (and NSC)
3. Workshops on Marketing Strategy, Community Corporate, Development of Business Plan, and Discussions on Outreach Strategy Implementation.
4. Documentation Lessons Learned and Participatory biennial project review.
Project Participants and/or beneficiaries :
1. Partners of GEF-SGP Indonesia
2. Local Community (indirect beneficiaries)
3. Children and Women participating in the Earth Camp
4. Indigenous Communities (particularly from Kasepuhan)
5. Urban and rural poor community participating in the shared learning forum
6. Visitors and Participants of Earth Concert and Earth Harvest Exhibition.
