Project Development Goal :
Developing Integrated Farming System for community empowerment in Jangkaran Village


Project Objectives :
1. To develop integrated farming system by using local natural resources potency based on basic concept of agro-forestry in the critical sandy land in coastal area.
2. To develop windmill for water pumping to support integrated farming system and to utilize husbandry waste to produce biogas energy for cooking.
3. To Disseminate information about important values of complex ecosystem.

Expected Output :
1. A model of integrated farming system.
2. Rehabilitated beach forest as a windbreak along Congot area.
3. Two units of windmill for water pumping was setting up and running.
4. Efficient livestock management.
5. Five units of biogas installation in operation.
6. Additional income for community through implementation of integrated farming system.
7. Management Plan to develop eco-tourism.
8. Understanding of community sustainable livelihood increase.
9. Media outreach to increase awareness about the program and networking.

Activities to be conducted :
1. Project Preparation: developing coordination, consultation and lobbying to stakeholders.
2. Determination of location through participatory approach.
3. Capacity Building for integrated Farming System.
a. On the job training on waste treatment of rice straw
b. Skill sharing on Integrated Farming System in coastal areas
c. On the job training on organic farming
d. Application of biogas technology for rural community
4. Business plan development.
5. Planting trees for windbreak.
6. Provision of husbandry management.

8. Mix-crops planting and maintenance
