Community Based Nature Resources Management in Moyo Island
Project Development Goal:
Sustainable management of nature resources in Moyo Island with community based approach
Project Objectives :
1. To establish self reliance community in nature resource management, which has more concern in conservation efforts
2. To foster the establishment of local government policy which regard to community?s role and supported by it?s stakeholders
3. To establish diversification in economic activities which regard to conservation and just concept
Expected Outputs :
1. The establishment of self reliance community in eight hamlets in managing nature resources in sustainable way
2. The establishment the local government policy which regard to community based nature resource management approach and supported by it?s stakeholder
3. The emergence of (at least) six new economic activities which regard to conservation and just concept
Project Activities :
To achieve objective 1 : Community Empowerment, the activities will be :
1. Program Socialization
2. PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal)
3. Community Organizing
4. Participatory mapping
5. Stakeholder meeting
6. Strengthening community organization
To achieve objective 2 : Emergence of local government policy which regard to community and other stakeholder involvement, the activities will be :
1. Stakeholder meeting
2. Socialization and campaign
3. Establishment of pressure group
To achieve objective 3 : Establishment of diversity in economic activities which regard to conservation and just concep, the activities will be :
1. Identification of nature resource and economic potentials
2. Capacity building
3. Development of economic activities
4. Establishment of marketing accessibility
