Project location:Doshakh village, Bisotoun, Kermanshah(Lat/Long:34.5133460-45.5877690)
The project aims to protect and revitalize Taghbostan Mountain Ecosystem through planting domestic plant species and developing a strategy to be pursued in other areas in collaboration with local people. Through organizing volunteer teams and applying the program to other regions, the causes of environmental degradation including fires, shrub cutting, overgrazing, pollution, soil erosion and waste could be prevented. Lessons learned from implementing the project will also be used to provide a plan applicable to other regions.
The main activities in this project are:
1-Organizing a network of people, climbers, non-governmental organizations, and governmental authorities who have been practiced protection and support initiatives which can be applied to other areas in Kermanshah Province.
2-Planting domestic plant species and controlling erosion by mechanical and biological operations
3-Correcting the paths usually taken by climbers by closing nonstandard routes in collaboration with them
4-Controlling fires by posting informative signs, providing facilities for making safe camp fire as well as stands for selling proper fuel to visitors so that they wouldn?t have to use plants to make fire
5-Protecting and guarding cultivated lands to prevent overgrazing in collaboration with local people
6-Developing a strategy to be followed in other spots around Zagros
7-Finally the project will present the lessons learned, material produced (booklets and films) and outputs in 2 half day information sharing workshops in Tehran and Kermanshah.

- People are less destructive to the environment, they are not breaking the branches, and they respect the vegetation cover. They do not discard refuse, and engage in cleaning. They also help with placing the stones to indicate the passage way.
- Greatest sustainability is the people?s movement and their demand to continue the work. Provision and allocation of resources to execute the project in the compendium of tourism projects.
- Replication and transfer of project knowledge and culture to other provinces.
