The project is to build up on the capacity of the current SGP grantees and assist these prospective project proponents to apply participatory methods in SGP projects. The project team will assist the prospective project proponents in project formulation by using the best practices of previous successful projects and where possible creating clusters. With 11 workshops in two years, the project will provide training on participatory project formulation as well as PRA/RRA principles and techniques. Four of the workshops will be conducted in the local communities identified by SGP current projects to help sustainability of their projects by developing related new projects. documented as films and booklets. The project will also develop a brochure and advocacy material on SGP projects. Finally the project will present the lessons learned and outputs in a half day information sharing workshop in Tehran.
