The project site is located in the Western Province, an area considered as fragile and high biodiversity conservation priority area by the Department of Environment and Conservation. This project is a "green project" aiming to promote the protection of environment and conserve biodiversity as an entry point for sustainable rural development opportunities, at the same time creating awareness and empowering the local people.

Component two of the project promotes eco enterprise activities that the local people will participate in to generate income for themselves to sustain their daily needs, however sustainable management practices will be encoraged.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Definately, the project methodology and approach for the project implementation promotes local awareness of the local environment, which collectively contribute to the global environment. Hence, the whole project promotes the public awareness on the global environment.
