Support to the Nyandezulu Falls Pilot Project
The project aims to address poverty through harnessing the environmental assets of the site through implementing two project objectives, namely:
A community Facilitation Programme, which will include the creation of an appropriate management structure, consultation with key stakeholders, skills training and development.
The Environmental Management Programme, which will, amongst others, include the identification of invasive plants, introducing sustainable havesting and replenishment of medicinal plants, environmental education, facilities development and development of a business plan.

Gender Focus
Gender will be a focus of this project, where women will be targeted in sustainable muti harvesting programmes and permaculture gardens.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The Environmental Education programme will occur on three levels, awareness raising, formal education and information development. This programme will be facilitated by the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa, a national NGO.
