Forestal tree nursery and agroforestry through of the training in Aldea Sanajabá, Tacaná, San Marcos
This project will establish one tree nursery at the community of Sanajabá, to produce 22,000 trees of native species (aliso, roble, encino, pino colorado, pino blanco, all of them are threatened locally, Pinus tecunumani, alnus arguta, licania arborea, red pinus, quercus acatenanguensis) to plant them on the peasants own plots, mixed with native varieties of green beans and squash. To create a barrier for local forests they will establish also forraging native trees (mirasol, sauco, sauce y mish) surrounding the existing forest patches.
