Enrichment of the natural forest and generation of biologic refuge in the volcanoes Santa María y Zunil, Quetzaltenango
Project consists on the establishment, training on, and management of agroforestry systems that imitate ecological relationships that naturally occured on the Santa María and Zunil volcanoes Protected Areas, through the establishment and management of plantations at three levels (on vertical sense of growth), using native species that locally occur on these forests.
The native cultives are: Chamaedora tepejilote, Sechium edule SW., Spondias mombin, Spondias purpurea L., persea americana Mill and pasiflora edulis
